Is it just me, or does that look like the Death Star? Anyways, this is the sort of image that would get my imagination going as a kid (and still a bit now).

this reminds me very much of a book called Enchantress from the Stars by sylvia engdahl. and it's gorgeous, i like the floating moon structure in the background.

o.o how long does it take to make a masterfully detailed piece like that?
o.O personally I like it zoomed out better cuz it looks more clean instead of blurry~ But, style is style, great piece of art~!

'Hanging over the city like a flying mountain in a dream was an enormous building... I tried to speak, to deny the miracle even as I saw it; but before I could frame a syllable, the building had vanished like a bubble in a fountain, leaving only a cascade of sparks.'

this looks like a scene from some 'grim future outlook' story... the person and animal towing the cart both look sad and tired, and then that mean looking moon floating above, almost as if it's keeping an eye on them... really great piece, this :)

Another well composed piece you have here you know :) What i love the most about it is the fact that it literally makes you feel like you are wandering amongst a strange new world, the lush colours & realistic yet strange environmental differences, you cant help but feel that it is in fact a believable place, that makes your creative mind run loose with conceptual thoughts, that is definitely what i love to see in a picture because it makes you enjoy the pleasantness of the splendidly well-done imaging.

The strange beast with its rider, it gives you a sense of the strange exciting things lurking on the world; it also has a sense of empowerment to the rider; it is like an Ox or other creature people call upon often to help with warmth & labour & this creature shown being empowered instantly makes you think how sentient beings control the environment around them. ;) Amongst all this the intrigueing plant-lifes & hills, & the lush greenery gives a sense of a fresh world in its prime, unspoiled by technlogy.

Then there is what i think introduces the definite sense of sci fi realism, the moonlike structure - like a luminous monster peering over the land so much as to evoke fear; or perhaps dispair, or once again maybe even empowerment over the ownership of the planet, it sort of reminds me of the \'Death Star\' :D. It gives the sense of perhaps a more advanced species that governs & controls, perhaps even cyborgs or mechanized creatures whom feed of energy, for you must admit it to look quite bewildering from a beings point of view. ;p

But i must say because of the imaginative spur the image evokes i am to conclude it is perhaps something different again; what if planets could form differently to what we believe - what if there are planets that consist of strange conditions, that brew their own structuration like an intellectually mindless beast, it is possible to say this is like a manifestation formed from the bizarre entities of the unknown. ;)

Another thing i enjoy that you did well is the colour scheme, the sky & composition; mysteriously dispairing colours enshrowded with light & darkness like an unseen wound, topped off by the strange planet in the sky which seems to carry craterlike wounds of its own, you have succesfully orchestrated an image full of detail, consistency & mind inspiring detail, Keep up the great work! :D
