akira is defenatly my favourite anime genre movie, well being a 2d freak i think its still my favourite animated movie too of all times
i wanted to do an akira pic for a while, and it was very fun to do,
i looked at some ref of the bike and houses but mostly i wanted to do my own thing of this, the houses i painted them as i remember,
althou most of the movie is at night i chosed daylight instead

Indeed. Akira is one of my favorite movies too. Too bad post people only seek 3D graphics and do not realize how hard and magical 2D graphics are too. Whenever I watch the movie I still can get how they manage to do all those AMAZING graphics at the 1980s... It's a mirracle by it self. Your pics is a very nice contribution to a movie that has shaked the foundatinos of anime and set nwe standards at its age. :)
